Position Overview:
As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be an integral part of our engineering team responsible for designing developing and maintaining backend systems that power our vector database solutions. You will work with a team of skilled engineers to ensure our systems are robust scalable and performant. This role requires proficiency in Go and Python deep knowledge of Kubernetes operators and operator frameworks and a strong understanding of distributed systems. You will also participate in oncall rotations to ensure the reliability and availability of our services.

Tasks

• Design develop and maintain backend services using Go and Python.
• Build and manage Kubernetes operators to automate the deployment and operation of our services.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews testing and documentation to maintain high code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development test and production environments.
• Participate in oncall rotations and handle incident management to ensure service reliability.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go and Python: Strong experience in developing backend services with Go and Python.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture operators and operator frameworks (e.g. Operator SDK).
• Experience: 34 years of experience in writing and maintaining Kubernetes operators.
• Distributed Systems: Solid understanding of distributed systems principles including consistency availability partition tolerance (CAP theorem) sharding replication and consensus algorithms (e.g. Raft Paxos).
• Oncall Experience: Willingness to participate in oncall rotations and experience in handling highpressure incidents.
• ProblemSolving Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing complex technical challenges.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS GCP Azure).
