ServiceNow CMDB Architect

About the Role:

Alphanext Technology Solutions and its customers are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in IT and extensive expertise in managing and architecting ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow CMDB IT Service Management (ITSM) and the ability to design implement and maintain robust CMDB architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect CMDB solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet client requirements.
• Lead the implementation of CMDB projects ensuring data integrity and adherence to best practices.
• Develop and maintain CMDB architecture documentation including data models workflows and integration points.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes specifically around Configuration Management.
• Integrate CMDB with other ITSM modules (Incident Problem Change Asset Management).
• Conduct regular audits to ensure CMDB data accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB and related integrations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10 years of experience in IT with a focus on Configuration Management and ITSM.
• 5 years of handson experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow CMDB solutions.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes especially Configuration Management.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules and their integration with CMDB.
• Expertise in ServiceNow data modeling discovery tools and data normalization.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript and knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules Script Includes UI Actions).
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) CMDB certifications are highly preferred.
