Project Engineer

Overview

Responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of projects. Your role includes scheduling planning forecasting allocating resources and managing all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Prepare schedule coordinate and monitor assigned projects.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes practices QA/QC policies performance standards and specifications.

Interact daily with clients and consultants to resolve technical and quality issues on site.

Oversee overall quality control of the work (budget schedule plans personnel performance) and regularly report on project status through progress reports.

Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team on quality inspections on site.

Collaborate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions as needed.

Lead document control and submission to clients and consultants and manage the issuance of drawings to subcontractors.

Assist the Project Manager in preparing progress reports.

Control and track ISO documentation.

Arrange and attend site inspections with consultants and subcontractors.

Issue RFI (Request for Information) and IRF (Inspection Request Form) to consultants.

Oversee the implementation of the QMS system on site.

Plan site temporary facilities and construction schedules in collaboration with the project planner including progress tracking.

Requirements

Proven working experience as a Project Engineer

Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD

Advanced MS Office skills including MS project and MS Power Point

Familiarity with rules regulations best practices and performance standards

Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

Project management and supervision skills

Decision making ability and leadership skills

Time management and organization skills

BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
