Test Automation Lead

Position Overview:

As Lead Software Test Engineer you will be accountable and responsible for leading and executing testing efforts developing and maintaining test strategies and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure the delivery of highquality software. You will leverage your expertise in testing methodologies and automation to drive excellence in our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Strategy:

   1. Lead development of comprehensive test strategies and plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

   2. Define test objectives criteria and priorities based on software requirements and business goals.

   3. Ensure alignment of test efforts with project timelines.

2. Test Execution:

   1. Lead handson testing including manual and automated testing to verify software functionality performance and security.

   2. Plan and conduct rigorous regression testing exploratory testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

   3. Review and approve test cases and test scripts for accuracy and coverage.

3. Test Automation:

   1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industrystandard tools and frameworks. This includes (but is not limited to) writing test scripts within code to ensure testing of functions within code

   2. Champion test automation best practices and contribute to the growth of automation coverage.

   3. Continuously improve the test automation infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.

4. Defect Management:

   1. Establish and maintain a defecttracking system.

   2. Ensure defects are documented prioritized and resolved in a timely manner.

   3. Communicate defects and testing progress to stakeholders.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

   1. Collaborate closely with software developers product managers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.

   2. Communicate testing status results and recommendations to senior management.

6. Test Documentation:

   1. Create and maintain test documentation including test plans test cases and test reports.

   2. Ensure that testing documentation is uptodate and accessible to the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience as a Lead Software Test Engineer with a focus on automation and leadership (34 years minimum)

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies tools and best practices.

Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g. Typescript Svelte Golang).

Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Playwright Testify Selenium).

Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
