Android Engineering Lead

Were looking for an ambitious Android Engineering Lead to join our Engineering Team in building the worlds largest XR healthcare platform! Tasks

As an Android Engineering Lead you will be responsible for developing and maintaining headless applications for Android VR headsets our XR Treatment Hub (tablet application that interacts with VR headsets) our Mobile Device Management system and being the process lead that brings structure to weeklies and standups.

You will work closely with other engineers our Head of Operations and our CEO to design and build any Android applications that make nurses want to use VR headsets to treat their patients.

Your tasks:

Design develop and maintain our XR Treatment Hub (tablet application) and MDM. This includes the following:

• Write clean maintainable and efficient code in Kotlin using Coroutines Flow Ktor Jetpack Compose / Compose for Desktop.
• Deal with lowlevel Android APIs and explore available interfaces to come up with creative solutions to nonstandard requirements.
• Ensure the high performance scalability and reliability of our Android applications and maintain proper documentation.
• Test and adapt our solution to support new devices (VR headsets mostly from PICO) and interact with their manufacturers.
• Collaborate with other engineers designers and management to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Stay uptodate with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
• Lead team standups and weekly meetings following our topnotch EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Framework

Requirements

• Proficiency in Kotlin Coroutines Flows Compose.
• Experience with Android Studio and Git.
• In love with Agile methodologies.
• Capable of defining a tech architecture.
• Ability to be critical to team members and management.
• Strong problemsolving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with VR headsets and Android Device Owner is a plus.
• Experience with Github Actions and Gradle scripting is a plus.
• Experience with Backend development is a plus
• AOSP experience is a plus.
