Job Description

As a Financial Controller youll oversee auditing cash control profit and loss analysis and reconciliations. With strong leadership in dynamic situations youll ensure financial accuracy and profitability. Analyzing reports from outsourced teams youll drive strategic decisions contributing to the companys growth and stability.

Commanding the Financial Stage
  • Oversee the competency of outsourced accounting services and ensure adherence to all standards.
  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts receivable cash handling accounts payable payroll and purchasing.
  • Review evaluate and implement accounting systems policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial reports.
  • Prepare and present financial statements balance sheets income statements cashflow reports budgets and variance analysis.
  • Supervise monthly book balancing and account reviews and present monthly financial statements.
  • Oversee preparation for financial audits and coordinate the audit process.
  • Prepare yearend financials for tax purposes.
  • Direct budget preparation review proposals and provide necessary documentation and justification.
  • Provide management and clients with timely reviews of financial status and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting.
  • Monitor receivables to mitigate credit risk.
  • Oversee accounts payable function ensuring compliance with reporting and purchasing procedures.
  • Analyze financial information to recommend efficient resource utilization and strategic solutions.
  • Review daily balances and income addressing discrepancies.
  • Manage credit card closures and deposits maintaining cash controls.
  • Forecast deposits and track paid balances monitoring payroll expenses and productivity.
  • Conduct endofmonth closing activities making necessary adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements

The Expertise Required for Excellence

  • Three or more years of experience in hotel accounting leadership roles including Controller positions.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in data collection analysis evaluation and scientific methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate teams effectively.
  • Competence in supervising employees duties and tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with various levels of management thirdparty vendors and clients.
  • Strong organizational problemsolving and analytical skills capable of managing priorities efficiently.
  • Versatility flexibility and enthusiasm in adapting to changing priorities.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen.
  • Commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Familiarity with hotelspecific accounting software such as M3 or HIA.
  • Preference for candidates with experience providing accounting services for multiple hotels.
