  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS DBA DB2 ITIL or MCSE. (at least 1)
  • At least 5 years of experience as a development DBA with advanced knowledge of large multiterabyte databases in a 24/7 environment.

Title: Database Administrator Lead (Hybrid 1 day onsite)
Location: Richardson TX 75082 (Preferred) or Chicago IL 60601 Must be local

Overview:
As a Lead Database Administrator youll play a critical role in managing and optimizing databases within the healthcare domain. Your expertise will be essential for maintaining data integrity ensuring performance and supporting critical applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Oversee the creation maintenance upgrade patching tuning backup and recovery of various MS SQL Databases.
  • Capacity Planning: Plan and manage the capacity of database management systems.
  • Standards and Procedures: Define and enforce standards and procedures related to database management systems.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization: work with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Database Strategy: Lead efforts to define database strategy architecture standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Application Support: Support application development projects by establishing databaserelated standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS DBA DB2 ITIL or MCSE.
  • At least five years of experience as a development DBA with advanced knowledge of large multiterabyte databases in a 24/7 environment.
