Wetland Ecologist

The Position

We are currently seeking a Wetland Ecologist to join our team based out of our Edmonton or Whitecourt office. This is a fulltime permanent position that is focused on wetland surveys regulatory applications and related projects. Project work is remote team based safety driven and is completed for the energy and forest sectors throughout the province.

Position Accountabilities

• This position is accountable for safe and efficient project work;
  
• Design and complete field assessments and studies related to vegetation and wetlands;
  
• Summarize evaluate and report on vegetation and wetlands data;
  
• Prepare wetlands regulatory applications;
  
• Lead and manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands peers management and clients.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in current best management practices and regulatory requirements for wetland assessments and applications;
  
• University Degree or technical diploma is required in Environmental Earth Science Forestry Biology Engineering Geomatics or Surveying;
  
• Experience as an Authenticating Wetland Professional;
  
• Ability to demonstrate leadership quality safety and customer service focus.
