Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description:

As a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk you will be responsible for supporting our finance team by performing various accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices for accuracy coding and approval.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
• Prepare and perform check runs wire transfers and ACH payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor files and ensure all information is uptodate.
• Assist with monthend closing and accruals.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the finance team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Proven 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
