Commercial Manager a Top Global Commodities Warehousing MNC
Our client a Top Global Commodities Warehousing MNC is currently looking for a Commercial Manager to be based in Singapore. The primary focus of the role is to source generate implement and maintain the companys warehousing and logistics business in accordance with the companys objectives.
The Role:
- Report directly to a Head of Commercial APAC
The Responsibilities:
- Searching and developing new business leads. This includes organizing business meetings and attending conferences seminars etc.
- Keep regular contact with existing and new customers maintain good relationships and support in generating incremental and new business
- Collaborate with companys regional and overseas colleagues in formulating sales strategies to improve market share across all product lines with a specific initial focus on Metals and Minerals customers
- Attend regular joint commercial calls with all regional and overseas colleagues
- Develop and manage business development procedures and related documentation as per the company requirements
- Manage and develop Marketing collaterals including but not limiting to intranet videos and presentations
- Support on Corporate Commercial reporting etc.
- Assist in quotation handling including costing and pricing
- Assist commercial colleagues and other departments to manage queries pertaining to all clients in the assigned geographical area when required
- Review and analyze general market information and trends in the commodities sector
- Monitor sales revenue on a monthly basis in line with company targets and vertical focus areas (New and existing revenue)
About You:
- Minimum a college degree from an internationally recognized university
- Minimum 5 years of total working experience
- Experience in the third party logistics sector and/or management experience in nonferrous metals sector is required
- Demonstrated warehousing and logistics operations expertise
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English is a prerequisite
- Strong builder of relationships with interest parties
- Proven ability to work on crossfunctional and multicultural teams
- Team player who can immediately inject innovation and creativity to current sales model
- Business acumen coupled with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Customer serviceoriented with an assertive and persuasive approach to work
- Possess organizational skills and ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
- Solid problemsolving skills and the ability to exercise critical thinking
- Able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and proven sales success in previous role ideally within the warehousing and logistics industry
