AIST Solutions a leading provider of innovative solutions in the construction industry is seeking a meticulous and skilled Design & Estimation Engineer to join our team in Ghala Oman. As a Design & Estimation Engineer you will play a crucial role in accurately calculating quantities preparing estimates and supporting project management activities to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Calculate quantities based on project drawings and specifications ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

2. Conduct reconciliation between estimated quantities and contractors billed quantities as well as claim quantities to ensure transparency and accountability.

3. Prepare and submit daily progress reports to clients providing comprehensive updates on project status and milestones achieved.

4. Review drawings using AutoCAD software and extract relevant quantities for material procurement and project planning purposes.

5. Estimate the quantity of constituent materials from drawings in advance to facilitate timely purchasing of items and streamline project execution.

6. Enter new technical data for windows doors and facade systems maintaining and updating existing profile data and accessories as needed.

7. Interpret architectural drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for window and door works ensuring accuracy and completeness.

8. Develop cost sheets for BOQ items estimating project costs with precision and considering all relevant factors.

9. Coordinate with the Design Department to submit preliminary proposal drawings to clients ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.

10. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to submit tenders with all necessary documents and schedules addressing both commercial and technical aspects effectively.

11. Identify profile applications from technical drawings and catalogs providing insights into optimal product selection and usage.

12. Possess proficiency in CAD programs utilizing them effectively to support design and estimation activities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in design and estimation roles within the construction industry with a focus on quantity surveying and project management.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software applications.

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Understanding of construction processes materials and industry standards.

Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
