Position: RN Labor and Delivery / Obstetrics

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 12

Shift Notes: 12hr Days 36hr guarantee

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend/Holiday rotation required

OnCall Requirements: No Call

Traveler Policy: WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY. PLEASE INCLUDE PERM ADDRESS WHEN UPLOADING THE PROFILE TO AVOID ANY DELAYS.

** THIS NEED REQUIRES LABOR & DELIVERY AND OBSTETRICS EXPERIENCE. FROM CHECKIN TO DISCHARGE A TRAVEL NURSE IS NEEDED WHO IS COMFORTABLE IN ALL ASPECTS OF DELIVERY AND AFTERCARE.

** Requested time off during this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Labor Day holiday will not be approved.

Demonstrates clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process. The RN must assess and identify patient problems/needs establish a plan of care implement interventions and evaluate and revise the patients plan of care based on patient progress.

• 2 years Current OB/L&D Experience Required
• Postpartum AND Mother/Baby experience Required
• NURSERY Experience Required
• Apgar/Routine testing experience Required
• AWHONN and STABLE Strongly preferred Travelers with one or both of these certifications will receive first consideration
• Lactation experience Preferred
• BSN Highly preferred
• Previous travel Preferred

• Work History
• Skills Checklist (pertinent to position) current to 1 year
• 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
• License/Certifications Must be uploaded with profile (Current Nursys BLS NRP Facility will not pend License/Certs)
