Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a permanent fulltime Physical Therapist(PT) position. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Bethel AK 99559

Start Date: 6/4/2024

Shift: MF Days Full Time

Salary:$115000.00 to $140000.00

A hospitalbased outpatient clinic servicing a large area of western Alaska primarily consisting of Alaskan Native Americans. Provides fulltime physical therapy services to a diverse population of clients from pediatric to geriatric across a wide spectrum of diagnoses and therapy needs that includes but is not limited to orthopedics neurology vestibular and wound care. The position includes village travel inpatient and outpatient care home care and community outreach. The therapist adheres to Physical Therapy standards of care and practice along with JCAHO OSHA and Corporate Policies. The therapist applies agespecific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Hospitalbased experience helpful

Education:

  • Must have a Masters degree from an Accredited program in Physical Therapy
  • Graduate from Accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

  • Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist.
  • CPR certification is required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff as part of a collaborative team
  • Able to participate in special committees as appropriate and serve as a professional representative of the physical therapy department and profession at all times
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians medical staff managers clients and the general public
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of a different culture who may or may not speak English
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
  • Periodic selfassessment
  • Hospitalbased: The Standard Physical Therapy Department environment includes a hilo table whirlpool therapeutic exercise equipment and ultrasound. electric stimulation modalities etc.
  • Office equipment (i.e. computer telephone fax machine copy machine)

  • Villagebased: Usually a treatment table is provided. Therapists bring out what is needed for patient care (theraband ultrasound etc.)
