As Chief Duty Manager you will be assisting Chalet Manager with daytoday operations and activities within the Chalet. You will undertake a range of duties including household upkeep supervision of staff and hosting of guests. You will also ensure the pristine maintenance and running of the household.


You will be real knowitalls when it comes to all things NisekoHanazono be it tours restaurants or lessons. Offering the highest level of customer service requires strong attention to detail & a patient yet go get em attitude. You must have outstanding customer service skills with a genuine desire to creating the holiday of a lifetime for every one of our guests. Your responsibility starts from the moment our guest checksin and continues throughout the whole guest journey in resort until you wave them goodbye at checkout.

To ensure success as a Steward you should remain professional and attentive to detail in matters regarding household management. A topnotch steward will have a thorough understanding of hospitality protocols and will exhibit knowledge on a wide range of topics related to dining event planning valeting and household management.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating unforgettable memories

  • Offering personalized recommendations for dining options day trips tailored ski lessons kids activities boot fitting arrangements Inroom massage arrangements or creative suggestions for a honeymoon proposal
  • Maintaining close relationships with agents and service providers throughout the season to ensure NISADE receives the latest and newest information on new products or lastminute openings in high demand restaurants
  • Expert knowledge and current information on restaurants products services availability and cancellation policies
  • Undertaking a critical role in service recovery and doing everything possible to turn any Guest experience into a positive one within company guidelines
  • Assisting in times of guest emergencies / injuries and communicating with Reception and the relevant departments
  • Maintaining up to date information on snow / wind conditions lift status and being knowledgeable on local mountain
  • Knowing intimately nontypical activities such as heli skiing cat skiing reindeer riding etc.
  • Keeping the leaflet display updated and present a neat and tidy selection of offerings to guests.
  • Respectfully and actively driving guest feedback for continual improvement
  • Performing all duties and obligations with decorum tact and unwavering professionalism.

Accuracy administration and attention to detail

  • Making new bookings changes to bookings and cancellations of bookings for restaurants ski lessons and rentals
  • Accurately posting and administering charges on Guest Accounts
  • Answering telephone email and in house guest enquiries directed to the dedicated Steward as well as supporting Host during checkin / checkout hours

High standards across all NISADE propertiesy

  • Welcoming / greeting each guest; demonstrating high quality approachable eye contact personalised and professional friendliness at all times
  • Promoting winter resort activities local area events and special promotions
  • Providing clear handovers to peers in order to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintaining the common area in immaculate condition including common area bathroom
  • Assisting Host and maid during busy periods with luggage carrying occasional drives or a guest checkin
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Management
  • Ensuring that cleaning and household chores are completed.

  • Be immaculately presented and strictly adhere to NISADE s Property Grooming Standards (for females this includes subtle lipstick hair in neat bun nude nail polish; for males this includes short hair or hair neatly up and clean shaven facial hair) Policy as detailed in Employment Handbook
  • A valid Japan working holiday visa or working rights

Requirements 1- 2 AT 5 6 Ability to speak English at a daily conversation level is a plus Ability to read and write Japanese at N1-N2 level Have a valid Japanese working holiday visa or work permit Regular driver's license to drive in Japan (AT limited is acceptable) Flexibility, reliability, and punctuality Physically fit Great interpersonal and teamwork skills Standard working days are 5 days per week, up to 6 days per week Polite and friendly attitude Prioritize cleanliness Staff accommodation available Language friendly environment Discounts on some resort services and winter activitiesUnique work environment Staff meals are provided during work hours
