Job Title:Procurement Officer.
Job Location: Lekki Lagos.
Job Overview:
Our client a dynamic conglomerate renowned for its expertise in Real Estate and other industries is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process for construction projects. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing materials negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery to support project timelines and budgets.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Source negotiate and procure materials equipment and services required for construction projects leveraging negotiation skills and market knowledge to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost quality and delivery aligning procurement activities with project objectives and timelines.
  • Identify and qualify suppliers and subcontractors conducting due diligence assessments and maintaining relationships to ensure reliability quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders contracts and agreements ensuring terms and conditions are clearly defined and contractual obligations are met by all parties involved.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships tracking delivery timelines quality standards and adherence to contractual agreements and addressing any performance issues or discrepancies as they arise.
  • Coordinate with project teams to forecast material and equipment needs accurately collaborating to identify requirements lead times and quantities required to support project schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies procedures and regulations conducting regular audits and evaluations to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Evaluate and analyze procurement processes performance metrics and market trends leveraging data insights to make informed decisions optimize procurement strategies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily: Minimum of a HND/ BSC in Estate Management or Similar discipline 10 years minimum experience in a similar position in a reputable organization Must be able to demonstrate your experience of managing property and projects The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision-making, and a hands on approach Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership skills
