We are a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and looking for a Procurement Merchandiser (Fabric) for a leading apparel manufacturing company based in Colombo Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities:
The Procurement Merchandizer is responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing of fabric and material. This role involves sourcing negotiating and acquiring products from suppliers in order to maintain adequate inventory levels while ensuring product quality and costeffectiveness.

The Procurement Merchandizer is responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing of fabric and material. This role involves sourcing negotiating and acquiring products from suppliers in order to maintain adequate inventory levels while ensuring product quality and costeffectiveness.
- Identifying potential suppliers and vendors.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure products and materials are available.
- Ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Managing purchase orders including tracking shipments and resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintaining records of purchases contracts and related documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing Business Administration or related field.
- Minimun of 2 Years proven experience procurment ideally within the apparel sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others.
- Creative and strategic thinker with a handson approach to tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
