Our client; a fastgrowing agribusiness company serving agricultural produce across the continents of Africa & Asia and apart from agribusiness they also have a strong hold into Metal/ Minerals and Coal business.
Their wellestablished and committed team is proud to work towards a common purpose everyday establishing a sustainable supply chain in global commodity trading while distributing the Agricultural produce: Efficiently & Responsibly.
They are looking for a country manager (minerals) for their Nigeria operations.
Job Description
- Work closely with principal stakeholders to create crosscountry buying program for primary and secondary minerals Lead/Zinc Columbite Tin and processed ingots and coils in Nigeria.
- Manage a team of logistics/warehouse personnel
- Create SOP for the procurement transport and testing of said minerals
- Follow and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
- Control directly the purchasing at warehouse or selected mine sites across the country
- Maintains the wider team wellinformed of local and international market trends best practices contracting and licensing models.
- Manage supplier relationships and interface with key artisans/local players on supplier issues.
- Develops and maintains constructive supplier relationships by obeying high standards of business ethics and fair dealing.
- Maintain proper reporting and record keeping
- Assemble and analyze data for financial management and reporting as needed
- Ability to travel to key producing regions including Jos Abakaliki etc.
Desired Candidate:
- Experience in a strategic sourcing role with expertise in influencing business strategy and miner relations.
- Relevant degree preferably Masters level (Bachelor degree will be considered for the right applicant) or equivalent. Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 15 Years of relevant experience with minimum 7 Years in Nigeria.
- Excellent negotiation skills developed handson experience.
- Aptitude to have a universal view and connect business need to purchasing strategy.
- Team player with can do attitude
- Focused individual with analytical approach and high degree of personal organization
- High proficiency in MS Office
