At VAST the sales team is the engine that drives global customer acquisition reporting to the CEO. As the Business Development Manager you will lead the entire business development function along with the team and bring sales management skills to win new customers for VASTs proven IT/digital services. You will own and continuously improve the entire sales process excelling at lead generation and relationship building through the presales proposal process and supporting VAST in deal closing.
The objective of this role:
- The key result area for this role is to win new customers for VAST and maintain a healthy pipeline of new customer prospects VASTs current and new service offerings.
- Establish and manage a sound sales process for VAST to achieve its objectives by planning marketing and sales activities to achieve sales targets analyzing performance data and making reliable forecasts.
- Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our capabilities and proven offerings. Establish and nurture new customer relationships.
Desired Profile:
- MBA Marketing
- 10 years of experience managing sales in the IT/Digital services industry.
- Excellent English communication and working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Proven sales experience and a good history of exceeding sales targets are required. Manage the targets assigned by the management.
- Willing and able to travel.

- Should be outgoing with a proactive personality with a purposeful approach and strong in negotiation and influencing skills.
- Effective communication & and presentation skills with an eye for detail.
- An ability to build and manage good relations with clients is essential.
- Having a good network of potential industries will be an added advantage for the candidate.
Competent in managing product demos and technical queries for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing strategic sales plans that expand our customer base and extend global reach in North America and the UK.
- Demand Management: Internalizing the organizational capabilities and current business models; organizing the marketing collaterals and approach to generating salesqualified leads. Routinely review the performance of the sales operations engine to improve effectiveness in delivering salesqualified leads efficiently.
- Prospecting: Understanding customers needs and coordinating with the internal team to prepare the solutions & and offerings as per the commitment given to the customers. Prepare the offer proposal accurately and share it with the prospect to pursue closure.
- Sales Closure/Contract: Negotiate the terms and close the customer PO as per VAST policies and guidelines. Seek support from the CEO to conclude the deal with the new customer.
- Collect: Ensure the payment from the customer is collected as per agreed schedules and facilitate as required.
- Onboarding: Onboard the new customer with the internal delivery teams and monitor execution progress. Where required facilitate smooth execution to meet customer expectations. Providing excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. Building a good relationship with the clients. Resolve customers complaints and issues professionally.
- Reporting: Establish accurate use of the CRM process to monitor progress against sales forecasts and plans. Ensure realistic sales targets and achieve them. Present appropriate sales reports to the higher management including order loss analysis competitive intelligence etc. as appropriate.
