Automation Tester

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing developing and maintaining automated test scripts using automation tools and frameworks.
• Collaborating with the development and quality assurance teams to define test strategy and test plans.
• Identifying and prioritizing test cases for automation to ensure maximum test coverage.
• Executing automated test suites analyzing results and reporting defects.
• Implementing and maintaining test data and test environment setups.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for automated testing processes and procedures.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies such as standups sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
• Contributing to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for automated testing.
• Collaborating with the manual testing team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identifying opportunities for test automation and making recommendations for improvement.
• Adhering to best practices and standards for test automation and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Providing support for production deployments and troubleshooting production issues related to automated tests.
• Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Automation Tester or similar role.
• Demonstrated expertise in automation testing tools such as Selenium TestNG or similar.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python or C# for test script development.
• Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
• Ability to identify analyze and troubleshoot automation test issues.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Certifications in software testing or test automation is a plus.
• Experience with performance and load testing is desirable.
• Familiarity with mobile testing and crossbrowser testing is a plus.
• Understanding of database management and SQL queries is an advantage.
