Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer
Supervises: Heads Learning Strategy; Knowledge Management; Learning Delivery & Execution; iLEarn & Special Projects the companys Learning Academy Coordinator Team Lead Protocol Fleet & Logistics Management

Job Objective: To coordinate direct and control current to long term employees capability development through learning & development strategies for the achievement of the companys corporate objectives.

Accountabilities:
  1. Focus on inspiring and developing the capability of the entire workforce to position the organization for growth while also ensuring continuous availability of highly skilled and wellmotivated personnel
  2. Establish and manage Learning & Development strategies to facilitate the movement of key talents across the organization which would be beneficial to both the individual s career progression and the organization s needs.
  3. Monitor the implementation of a sound Learning & Development system
  4. Ensure continuous conformity with best practices innovations and networks with key external leaders in order to stay on the cutting edge of the Learning and Development discipline.
  5. Establish and maintain a Learning and Development evaluation system in cooperation with internal and external providers/vendors to evaluate the effectiveness of program outcomes and to implement enhancements as needed
  6. Direct research into new concepts that could increase Learning & Development operating efficiency
  7. Lead a team of learning professionals that have a system and regional accountability to develop the internal talent pipeline through learning & development
  8. Create relationships with all key executives to ensure that the training is in line with their strategic vision and objective
  9. Perform a mentorship role to key training personnel in the execution of their duties upon request.
  10. Ensure all regulatory reports are rendered within stipulated time


Requirements

The role requires the job holder to:

  • Support others and provide practical knowledge competence and expertise.

  • Use researched factual information when solving problems and apply sensitivity and logic when handling conflict situations.
  • Seek ways of perfecting processes and systems. Raise standards reduce errors and prevent omissions.
  • Seek direction and authority from others when and if appropriate and achieve set goals in a nonassertive and efficient manner
Educational Qualification: First degree in any discipline. Professional qualification as a training facilitator is also required. Additional qualification would be an added advantage

Experience: At least 12 years post qualification experience and not less than 7 years in a learning and development position designing and implementing development systems.
