Climate March 2024 Fundraising Consultant

Green Generation Foundation (GGF) is an Environmental Youth-led Organization. It aims to

empower a new generation that is able to adapt to and understand ongoing worldwide

environmental changes, and create future leaders with the skills to solve environmental and

climate related challenges. GGF works to empower youth to lead sustainable change in

environmental and climate issues in their communities through education and capacity building

and the use of advocacy, dialogue and empowerment for solving environment and climate

related challenges.

The Green Generation Foundation is going to implement the Climate March on its 7th edition

this year.

The Climate March is an annual event implemented by GGF aiming to highlight the role of

Jordanian youth in participating in creating a secure future in terms of environment by raising

the local communities’ awareness about the self-responsibility towards our environment by

introducing the carbon foot-print effect. In addition, enhance the Global youth participation by

carrying out similar marches in their own countries and representing the same environmental

objectives, spot the lights on climate change issue, its importance, and negative impacts on the

planet.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with event organizers to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the goals, objectives, and budget of the climate event.
• Conduct research to identify potential individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other funding sources interested in supporting climate-related initiatives.
• Support in mobilizing funds to conduct the climate march 2024

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations, preferably in the nonprofit sector and/or within the field of environmental or climate justice.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas in a clear, persuasive manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, and volunteers.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing successful fundraising strategies and achieving fundraising targets.
