We are hiring a
Senior Medical Scientist Haematology for a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient service to users ensuring that all standards are reached and that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Participate in developing and leading the introduction of new ideas methods evaluating equipment reagents and consumables according to Hospital policy.
  • Participate as required in developing the laboratory information system for the department.
  • To participate in ensuring the implementation of quality standards and ensuring a quality service is provided at all times.
  • Participate in the Hospital Performance Review and Development System.



Requirements

  • Must be registered with CORU
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Science from the Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). Or
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biomedical Science Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Or
  • Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork Cork Institute of Technology course AND Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Practice.
  • Bachelor of Biomedical Science Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) AND BSc (Honours) Biomedical Sciences University College Cork (UCC). (Awarded prior to 2013). Or
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) or the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) (Awarded prior to 1994).
  • An equivalent qualification validated by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).
  • Four years full time clinical experience as a medical scientist in a haematology laboratory since qualifying as a medical scientist.
