We are looking for a Utility Arb Surveyor to support the Contract Delivery Manager (CDM) in providing the necessary surveyed work volumes for an assigned programme of tree works in Cambridge and the surrounding area. You will take responsibility for driving your own allocated survey programme and ensure KPI targets are met.

This is a fieldbased role with approximately 4 days in the field surveying and consenting and 1 day based at home.

You will ensure your works is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety environment quality customer service and profitability. Drive consistency and innovation through everything you do to ensure Ground Control are the best at what we do.

What you will achieve;

  • Successful undertaking and completion of all Utility Arb surveying projects allocated.
  • Providing a highquality level of project surveys and landowner consents to drive best value for money for both the Client and Ground Control.
  • Satisfactorily resolve all landowner consenting queries and follow ups as required.
  • Participate in resolving any heldup spans that need client resolution to obtain consent.
  • Assist PM team in identification and resolution of any SSSI Sites TPOs or conservation areas that fall within the scope/programme area.
  • Achieve a high level of safety awareness and ensure reporting of HSQE events/issues found on sites.
  • Participate in training/shadow events covering Project Delivery Tracking Coordination Commercial Management and Supply Chain Management as required to eventually progress within your role.

Who are we looking for

This role is ideal for someone who has a solid arb background and now wants to move off the tools and into a surveying focused role. Alternatively if you already have experience within any type of arb surveying already this would be highly beneficial.

To be successful in this role in addition you must have:

  • Practiced and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient and competent IT.
  • Welldeveloped selfmanagement and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
