Service Technicians // Hot & Cold Service Technicians

The ideal candidate typically has both Commercial Refrigeration Experience (WalkIn Coolers/Freezers ReachIn Coolers/Freezers Ice Machines Parallel Rack Systems (not required) etc.) Commercial Kitchen Repair Experience (Gas Ovens Fryers Boilers Dish machines etc.) or preferably a combination of both. In markets where the need for technicians is critical the company will consider candidates who have experience in Commercial or Residential HVAC service/repair. Please note all candidates for Service Technician roles should have their Universal EPA license unless they have significant Commercial Kitchen Hotside Repair experience.

Technician Pay: $3245/hr ($67000$94000/year) Potential Bonus Dependent on Market

Schedule: Exact hours differ by market 7:00am4:00pm is typical. Rotational oncall. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary depending on a candidates market.

Experience Required: Employer is looking for 35 years of technical experience with refrigeration troubleshooting appliance repair kitchen equipment Commercial HVAC service. EPA Universal (or EPA I & II) and/or CFESA certification preferred.

Driving Record/MVR Check: Yes

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
  • Inspects the commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
  • Communicates with customer and branch staff regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
  • Completes service tickets according to procedures.
  • Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle.
  • Sustains service vehicle tools and uniforms to company standards.
  • Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures particularly regarding safety.

Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • 35 years of related experience
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Dependable and able to work independently.
  • Standard computer skills
  • Own industrys standard hand tools
  • Ability to travel extensively within the region.
  • Ability to work some nights weekend and holidays for oncall rotation with your department (frequency varies with department size)
  • Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new techniques and approaches.
  • Universal EPA certification preferred.
