About the job
Reporting to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Delegate tasks to contractors and subcontractors to optimize workflow efficiency.
Evaluate potential hazards and risks to maintain a safe work environment.
Facilitate effective communication between management contractors and subcontractors regarding adjustments to cost estimates.
Conduct negotiations throughout the project lifecycle to promptly resolve issues.
Manage project scope to align with objectives and enhance deliverables and key activities.
Supervise a team of Quantity Surveyors.
Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to objectives and building contract laws.
Oversee and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Analyses costs and develop strategies to enhance overall project value.
Prepare tender and contract documents in compliance with regulations.
Provide guidance on contractual claims to effectively manage project scope.
Present cost analysis reports to GM and management ensuring clear and insightful data presentation.
Ensure adherence to project timelines and promptly address issues to keep the project on schedule.
Verify the accuracy of cost calculations through meticulous review and analysis.
Demonstrate problemsolving skills specific to Quantity Surveying tasks effectively resolving challenges encountered during project execution
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying preferably in main contractor / developer and residences construction.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Microsoft Project Microsoft Excel AutoCAD and Glodon Software (TAS TRB).
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
