This position serves as an assistant to the agency Fire Prevention Officer in the administration and field implementation of an effective fire prevention and public involvement program. This position requires specialized knowledge and technical skills to assist the Fire Prevention Officer.
Primary areas of responsibility are assistance in combination of fire prevention public fire education hazard mitigation data collection fire suppression and prescribed fire program activities. Other duties assigned may include assisting in work with the various Divisions of Fire Programs and other Tribal Departments on specific planning hazard/risk assessment public information education or involvement tasks. This technical position is a furlough able position.
Requirements
Must possess a Valid Oregon Drivers License High school diploma (or equivalent) 2 years experience in wild land fire suppression Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) must be able to pass an arduous fitness test and background check.
