RUBY ON RAILS FULL STACK DEVELOPER

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ruby on Rails Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Bucharest. This role requires a deep understanding of both frontend and backend development and the ability to maintain and enhance our existing IT applications while developing new features. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in implementing scaling and debugging largescale distributed systems with an eventdriven architecture.

Tasks

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB FUNCTION:

• Develop and maintain robust scalable software solutions using Ruby on Rails incorporating both frontend and backend technologies.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirement analysis design implementation and testing.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and system reliability.
• Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Work with JSON CSS HTML5 JavaScript and Bootstrap to create responsive and interactive user interfaces.
• Manage databases using MS SQL and PostgreSQL ensuring efficient data storage and processing.
• Analyze and learn existing codebases to propose and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and integrate APIs and other system interfaces.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully an individual should have abilities in the following areas:

• Fluency in English.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience with Ruby on Rails.
• A total of 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with Java is considered a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX system administration and networking.
• Proficiency in software engineering practices including coding standards source control management and testing.
• Experience with designing and using storage and data processing systems.
• Proven ability to implement scale and debug largescale distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of interface and API design.
