***BASED IN PRAIRIE CITY OREGON*** Assists CTWS Native Plant Nursery staff with daily operations of native plant production. Participates in seed collection plant propagation plant maintenance and outplantings. Performs plant maintenance duties such as weeding thinning
watering fertilizing and transplanting as well as keeping uptodate records of plant numbers germination rates fertilizer rates and seed collections. Works while standing sitting kneeling and frequent bending and lifting for long periods; and can lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
Knowledgeable in the operation of UTV/ATVs as well as greenhouse/nursery equipment and irrigation systems.
Requirements
Must have a natural resource background ideally in horticulture botany plant ecology or closely related field; with an Associates in horticulture or related field AND six months of greenhouse nursery or plant propagation experience OR a minimum of three years experience in a greenhouse or nursery setting with a strong proficiency in knowledge/skills. Must have a strong interest in plants be able to work independently and in a team valid driver s license and
pass a drug test.
