Lead - Credit Risk Analytics Data Science

Our client is a leading fintech company specialized in providing customers with credit solutions looking to hire Lead of Credit Risk Analytics and Data Science.

Position Title: Lead Credit Risk Analytics and Data Science

Location: Preferably Chennai Bangalore or Noida; remote work considered for exceptional candidates

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to predict credit risk and other essential metrics collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely implementation.
• Optimize underwriting rules and continually monitor portfolio performance providing corrective actions as needed.
• Evaluate additional data sources to enhance model effectiveness and accuracy.
• Provide analytics support across various organizational functions beyond underwriting.
• Conduct controlled tests utilizing Design of Experiments principles to drive business value requiring advanced critical thinking skills.
• Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in building machine learning models and strong statistical knowledge.
• Proficiency in programming preferably in R Python or SQL; ability to quickly learn new programming languages.
• Ability to independently drive projects from problem formulation to solution implementation including problem statement formulation solution identification task breakdown and handson data analysis.
• Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities capable of addressing highlevel ambiguously defined questions and deriving actionable insights from data.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex concepts to nontechnical stakeholders through presentations and other means.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational background from a premier institute.
