Role: MLIS Informix Vertica/Informix Senior Developer
Location: Springfield MA

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Title: Vertica/Informix Development Lead


Skills Experience and Responsibilities:

810 years of work experience in working with multiple Databases. IBM Informix & Vertica is preferred.
Must have worked on at least 34 data migration projects including cloud migrations
Having IDMC experience will be desirable
Database Assessment and Planning:
o Perform a comprehensive analysis of the existing IBM Informix database environment.
o Evaluate data structures schemas and dependencies.
o Determine the appropriate tools and methodologies for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) from Informix to Vertica.
Data Extraction and Transformation:
o Extract data from the Informix database using suitable ETL tools or custom scripts.
o Perform the actual migration of data from Informix to Vertica following the established plan.
o Monitor the migration process to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Testing and Validation:
o Conduct thorough testing and validation of the migrated data in Vertica.
o Verify data accuracy completeness and consistency.
o Collaborate with application developers and endusers to validate the functionality and performance of the migrated database.
Should be able to Prioritize document and design the flow of Migration process.
Should be able Identify bottlenecks risks in migration and should be capable to mitigate them.
Should have experience of leading atleast 1015 member team on parallel tracks of migration streamline the migration process.
Should be well versed with Different file Formats for parsing files like Flat File XML JSON Parquet and should have worked with service connectors
Ensure adherence to data management/governance policies processes and standards.
Should have cloud infrastructure knowledge DevOps/CICD scheduling tool knowledge and ticketing tools like Jira Service now
Should have experience of collaborating with multiple customer stakeholders and jointly track on the progress of the tasks and resolve dependencies
Strong communication skills.
Good to have Financial Services Banking/Insurance domain knowledge
