Piping manager

Responsible for delivering a large scope of work to achieve project objectives by conducting technical evaluations of multiple EPC tenders for large, capital projects, including risk based evaluation of complex technical issues, which may have a significant commercial impact on project execution, ensuring they are compliant, technically qualified, and consistent with project requirements. During the Construction phase the position is responsible for verifying the installation of piping deliverables including large pipe sizes (e.g. 126 inch diameter), large valves (e.g. control, motor operated, pressure relief, manual), cryogenic systems, high pressure steam and high pressure sour gas services including approvals of piping stress calculations and design of pipe supports.

Major challenges for this role are (1) effectively managing EPC Contractor and Piping Engineering team to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements from contract award until delivery of Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC); (2) maintaining constructive working relationships with EPC Contractor, its subcontractors and vendors to ensure delivery of work scope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHE and Quality) to ensure alignment of Piping Engineering deliverables.
