Role Overview:
We are looking for a colleague to join a global team of highly motivated support engineers in the financial industry. With a community of approximately 300 users you will work closely with the Support team and System / Network engineering teams to provide all tiers of support. Excellent customer service and communication / writing skills are required. Must be open to occasional afterhours work as needed.
The ideal candidate has an enthusiastic customerfacing personality with analytical technical and critical thinking skills as well as a growth mindset.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop strong relationships with the user community by providing whiteglove inperson and remote support services for the firms technology stack which include OneDrive SharePoint Outlook / Exchange Global Protect Lenovo X1 laptops RSA Virtual Desktops and more
Collaborate with a global team to complete longterm and shortterm projects with technical expertise and detailed execution
Partner with systems network and application teams to provide reliable and scalable solutions
Ability to work with top level executives including CEOs CFOs Managing Directors Traders and the like in a high pressure fast paced environment
Exhibit a customer facing mindset that portrays enthusiasm curiosity and drive. Seeks to bring value to any size task given to them.
Evangelize innovation by gathering business requirements and connecting users with new technologies through training documentation and everyday discussion
Problemsolving: must possess good analytical skills and the ability to review logs/behavior/events to help determine if problems are imminent and develop solutions before or when they occur to resolve quickly.
Background and Qualifications:
5 10 years of experience in a similar role in the financial industry is preferred
Technical expertise critical thinking and a growth mindset are a must.
Strong team player mentality that spans crossfunctionally
Ability to make decisions and devise solutions quickly often with limited information.
Excellent individual group and firmwide communication skills
Great at documentation and inperson / live training
Foresight to set annual goals and milestones
A datadriven mindset to reinforce ideas projects and decisions
Ability to work calmly under pressure prioritize issues and requests and handle tasks from technology management
