As a Design Prototyper you will work closely with a team of Engineers Designers and Research Scientists to bring prototypes of emerging technologies to life. You will collaborate crossfunctionally to design and build prototypes that help define the future of augmented & virtual reality. Your work will be used in user research studies technology demos and proof of concept prototypes. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who has expertise in 3D interactive experiences and proficiency in Unity.
This is an opportunity to join a diverse interdisciplinary team experimenting with bold ideas in areas including optics displays user experience and perception science working to solve novel problems from first principles. This position is a contract position and is based in Redmond.

Responsibilities:
- Develop experiential SW prototypes for Research projects.
- Implement experience design specs.
- Participate in the development of team toolsets and prototyping processes.
- Clearly articulate prototyping decisions to a diverse set of internal stakeholders.
- Support Design and User Researchers with creating user study experiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Game Development experience and the proven ability to collaborate in crossfunctional environments.
- Experience developing with Unity including working with 3D assets and tools.
- Experience programming interactive experiences in C#.
- Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototype work.
- Experience with building prototypes in short time frames.
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems through rapid iteration.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 years experience with Unity Unreal Engine or other 3D engines.
- 2 years experience with VR Rendering and VRcompatible HLSL shader programming.
- Experience with Oculus SDK e.g. developing for Quest or PCVR.
- Experience with novel inputs (e.g. hand tracking eye tracking computer vision).
- Experience with hardware prototyping (e.g. Arduino Raspberry Pi).
- Experience programming in Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with lowlevel coding of SW components to support experience prototyping.
- Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototyping with AR/VR/MR headsets.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings and participate in teambuilding efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions peer reviews etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OPWiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
