Clinical Nurse - Cath Angio Lab

• Shift: Days 10 hours Monday to Friday Some oncall shifts 40hrs/week
  
• Work Location: Onsite; Palo Alto CA
  

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients scheduled for catheterization procedures.
  
• Obtain and review relevant medical history allergies and current medications.
  
• Assess and monitor vital signs and other relevant physiological parameters.
  
• Educate patients about the procedure addressing their concerns and providing necessary information.
  
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during catheterization and angiography procedures.
  
• Ensure a sterile environment is maintained during procedures to prevent infections.
  
• Monitor and manage potential complications or adverse reactions to medications or contrast agents.
  
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care including assessments interventions and outcomes.
  
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members including physicians technologists and fellow nurses.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding the procedural process and postprocedure care.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
  

• RN Registered Nurse
  
• BLS Basic Life Support
  

• Experience utilizing cath lab monitoring system such as XPER required;
  
• At least two years of recent Cath Lab experience required.
  
• Must have experience in circulating and monitoring in diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases (CCP STEMI NSTEMI Cardiac biopsy Right Heart Cath etc.) Electrophysiology cases (Ablations and Devices); Experience circulating in Neuro IR and Vascular preferred.
  
• Must be comfortable providing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced airway management as well as management of vasoactive drips. Knowledge of EPIC and XPER also preferred. Monitoring experience required.
