Overview:

The Invoice Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices within the organization. They are responsible for reviewing verifying and reconciling invoices as well as maintaining records and communicating with vendors. This role is essential for maintaining positive vendor relationships and ensuring financial accuracy within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
  • Entering invoice data into the accounting system with precision and attention to detail
  • Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports
  • Communicating with vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional information
  • Maintaining organized and detailed records of invoices and payments
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements for invoice processing
  • Assisting with monthend and yearend financial closing activities
  • Preparing and processing outgoing payments to vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assisting with audits and providing necessary documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in accounting finance or related field
  • Prior experience in accounts payable or related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of invoice processing and reconciliation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
  • Capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in workflow and priorities
  • Commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial processes
