Estimator

JWR Employment Specialists are working with a growing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company in Mayo to recruit an Estimator.

Our client who has projects across Industrial Healthcare Commercial Residential and pharmaceutical have undergone significant growth in the last number of years and are passionate about providing the highest standards through honest hard work and commitment to quality. The role will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across different industries with a high performing team.

The role is based on site in Castlebar but may require occasional site visits to Galway and Limerick.

Duties and tasks include;

• Reviewing Drawings and documents of projects to be tendered
  
• Review of plant quotations
  
• Compiling and issuing of Tender Supporting documents
  
• Attend site visits and client meetings as required
  
• Maintain Work In Progress List
  
• Setup files and put on server
  
• Output drawings & documents for tenders
  
• Setup summaries on estimation
  
• Send out quotation request
  
• Send out the necessary tender documents to external estimators
  
• Fill and send forms of tenders
  
• Filing of soft copy/hard copy of tenders
  
• Update estimation for new products
  
• Update estimation pricing as requested
  
• Comply with QEHS Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents procedures and maintaining document information/completing forms/records as required.
  
• Understand and apply with our QEHS policies statement in all aspects of your work.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Ideally 2 years experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
  
• Excellent written and communication skills
  
• Proficient computer skills and use of programs specific to this role
