Reporting to the senior director of international programs and services office, the job holder performs tasks that directly impact the university internationalization efforts by managing student mobility with a strategy of expansion in numbers and caliber of students, and designing a program that maximizes gains by The American University in Cairo (AUC) students from the study abroad experience.
Responsibilities:
Application Management:
● Manages the announcement, selection, recruitment, interview and acceptance process for AUC students (undergraduates and graduates) participating in the exchange/study abroad programs for the fall, spring, or summer cycles
● Maintains application database system by regularly updating available programs and information from partner or affiliate programs
● Oversees non-credit Blackboard course to deliver consistent, necessary information to students throughout advising process
● Finalizes the placement of selected students and their nomination to host institutions
● Designs the plan to institutionalize accessible education programs to AUC students stressing the value of international experiences to the student journey and its importance for career opportunities
● Manages forms that require student, parent/guardian or partner signatures (consent forms, etc.)
