Tasks

Core Roles and Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

• Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beer cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe bar and dining areas including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of food beverages and supplies reporting to the manager to order needed supplies.
• Payment Handling Processing payments from customers using the provided payment methods cash and digital. Management of the cash draws.
• Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu offerings including ingredients allergens and preparation methods to assist customers with their selections.
• Upselling: Proactively suggest additional items and upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
• Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations food handling guidelines and alcohol service laws to ensure a safe and legal environment for patrons and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating orders.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques beer varieties and cocktail mixing preferred but not required (training will be provided).

Qualifications and Key Features of the Role:

Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is desirable but not essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the respective jurisdiction.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role and the organisation.
