Overview:
The Data Architect plays a key role in designing creating deploying and managing an organizations data architecture. They are responsible for ensuring that the data assets are consistent secure and accessible across the organization. The position is critical in providing strategic direction for the development of data models and database design to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategic data architecture plans
- Develop data models for database structures
- Define data standards and guidelines for data usage and storage
- Optimize database performance
- Implement data security and privacy measures
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data integrity
- Assess and select appropriate tools and technologies for data management
- Create and maintain data documentation
- Oversee data migration and integration processes
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Conduct regular data system audits
- Participate in strategic planning for data management and utilization
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data architecture
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in data architecture and design
- Expertise in data modeling and database design
- Proficient in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes
- Strong knowledge of database management systems
- Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and analytics
- Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
- Certifications in data management or related field are a plus
- Proven track record of successful data architecture projects
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and project management abilities
