Senior IT Support Engineer

  • Salary: up to 45K
  • Location: York - Hybrid - with travel to client sites as required

Are you a Senior IT Support Engineer keen to step into the challenge of supporting a growing, forward-thinking company? If you have a thirst to learn, and love delivering 'above and beyond' technical support when it is needed most, this role is for you!

As the Senior IT Support Engineer you will work with customers as the face of the company in a growing helpdesk function. Day-to-day, you'll be managing your time between delivering rapid solutions to complex problems to building long-term solutions that deliver permanent improvements to clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior IT Support Engineer

  • Engage with customers to provide first-contact technical support to M365 products and end-users.
  • Function as a mentor, coach and guide to junior members of the team
  • Conduct installation, migration and deployment projects
  • Maintain comprehensive logs of events, problems, and resolutions in the ticketing system and provide regular updates to the customer.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support personnel.
  • Manage end-point devices via the use of remote monitoring and management tools (RMM).
  • Assist with cybersecurity and risk mitigation.
  • Update and preserve knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
  • Travel to client sites on occasion to deliver on-site support.

Experience Required for the Senior IT Support Engineer Role

  • Significant experience with M365, Microsoft Cloud, Active Directory
  • Experience of remote access technologies
  • Familiarity with basic networking protocols

  • Good written and spoken English.
