We are hiring a Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist in Cardiothoracic Surgery in a Private Hospital in Cork Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • conceive oversee and assess our cardiothoracic physical therapy program.
  • Create policies and procedures for the new cardiothoracic service in collaboration with MDT colleagues and by JCI and evidencebased practice.
  • Exhibit sophisticated understanding and proficiency in an intensive care unit (ICU) particularly in the context of cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Be in charge of leading and developing the respiratory physiotherapy team.
  • Establish strong ties between the medical nursing and MDT sectors and work to negotiate evidencebased modifications to clinical practice such as clinical pathways and referrals.
  • When analyzing extremely complicated facts or situations that support the application of a treatment or management plan for the service user use a high degree of professional autonomy.



Requirements

  • Must have CORU Physiotherapy membership.
  • A management qualification is essential.
  • Must have worked in an acute hospital for at least five years after graduating with three of those years spent fully in respiratory care.
  • A postgraduate experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team effectively.
  • Commitment to patient safety confidentiality and ethical conduct.
