In a nutshell

Picnics central team is build up out of 1000 talented individuals spread across three main locations: Amsterdam Paris and Dsseldorf. The people team consists of 15 HR BPs that take full responsibility for the development and organization of everyone in the central team. Currently the 250 central employees work in the fast growing Dsseldorf office.

As the People Team lead for Germany youll hold a key position in which together with now two HR BPs you will be responsible for the fast growing German team. Your tasks will include ensuring our processes and systems are compliant conducting reviews and regular checkins working on peoplerelated projects deciding on staffing of new joiners and having development conversations with our talent. Youll combine your thought leadership in the area of people and HR with a solid understanding of the business.

What youll do

  • Guide develop and support the German HR BPs aligning with the international HR BP team and people director.
  • Oversee the development of the people in your scope. Conduct checkins and biannual reviews to ensure you can support them best
  • Conduct all adminrelated tasks around development agreements contracts and compensation help in handling workplace investigations disciplinary and termination procedures for your scope
  • Initiate and drive peoplerelated initiatives provide insightful data to guide decisionmaking and implement proactive solutions
  • Design and improve people programs (including staffing onboarding learning & development and rotation processes)
  • Build organizational health by ensuring that the organization is structured to achieve business objectives and by keeping a close eye on engagement scores of all teams
  • Ensure consistency in data systems and processes within the organisation (in and outside the German team)
  • Manage talent to ensure the right people are in the right roles
  • Enable business leaders to cultivate an effective leadership pipeline

About you

  • Masters degree in Psychology or Science (or similar background)
  • 6 to 8 years of experience as a strategy or organizational consultant and/or experience in a tech startup/scaleup environment and / or handson experience with HR . Ready to lead a team.
  • Passion for technology and people
  • Project management and operations experience
  • Experience in Human Resource disciplines and fundamental knowledge in employment law
  • Fluent in English German fluency is a plus
