Overview:
The Talend Cloud Migration Resource plays a crucial role in the seamless and efficient migration of onpremise data solutions to the cloud environment using Talend. This role is essential in ensuring that data integration and ETL processes are effectively and securely transitioned to the cloud enabling the organization to leverage the benefits of cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current onpremise data solutions and design migration strategies to Talend Cloud.
- Develop and execute migration plans for ETL processes data integration jobs and related components.
- Implement best practices to ensure data security and compliance during the migration process.
- Optimize and tune Talend Cloud solutions for performance and scalability.
- Provide guidance and support to the development team on Talend Cloud best practices and standards.
- Monitor migration progress resolve issues and ensure timelines are met.
- Document migration processes configurations and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address dependencies and ensure a smooth transition to Talend Cloud.
- Train and mentor staff on the use and maintenance of Talend Cloud solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Talend Cloud features and updates to optimize system efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the migration process.
- Provide postmigration support and troubleshooting.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data integration and ETL processes in Talend Cloud.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of migration methodologies and tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in migrating onpremise data solutions to cloud platforms using Talend.
- Indepth knowledge of ETL processes data integration and data warehousing concepts.
- Handson experience in implementing Talend solutions including Talend Cloud Talend Studio and Talend Administration Center.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Shell or Groovy.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
- Ability to optimize and tune Talend Cloud solutions for performance and scalability.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Understanding of data security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
- Certification in Talend or cloud platforms is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple migrations simultaneously.
- Experience in documenting technical specifications and migration processes.
- Demonstrated capability to train and mentor staff on Talend Cloud usage and best practices.
