JOB TITLE: Estimator / Project Manager

Location: Santa Clarita California

Responsibilities:

Civil Engineering estimating and project management of earthwork earthretention shoring systems deep foundations and ground improvement projects.

• Perform quantity takeoffs cost estimates and bid proposals & budgets.
• Conduct site inspections to assess site conditions and construction logistics.
• Execute project prequalifications as required.
• Clear understanding of project plans & drawings specifications and geotechnical reports.
• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Perform DesignBuild calculation and modeling.
• Review and assist in negotiating construction scope of work sheets and contracts.
• Prepare project submittals RFIs and schedules.
• Procurement and scheduling of specialty equipment and required materials.
• Work with field superintendents and foreman to help manage project quality control and cost management.
• Provide project asbuilt drawings and required close out paperwork.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients and owners.
• Prepare project draft billings and change orders.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of construction means and methods.
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering construction management or a related field.
• 3 years of related experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.
• Project management: 2 years (Preferred).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools such as Word Excel and Outlook.
• Preferred experience with AutoCAD of Agtek.
• Good mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to travel to various job sites.
• Valid Drivers License.
