MISSION
Identify suitable customers and vessel owners for transporting cargo on maritime charter bases. Attracting maintaining and developing new relationships with them.
Fixing dry bulk project and tanker vessels for customers on a variety of structured deals (from spot to longer term business) taking care of all the issues that may arise until the cargo is succesfully delivered and file is closed.
TASKS
Serve as the primary contact between customers and vessel owners.
Closing agreements negotiating freight rates and terms with customers and shipowners.
Drawing charter parties and working out all related calculations.
Handling and monitoring end to end all operations including but not limited to: DAs LOIs Charter Invoices Voyage Instructions Laytime Calculations Claims Management.
Giving customers tailor made consultancy for each different project leading them to close the negotiation satisfactorily
Maintain accurate records of charter agreements and communications.
Gathering and analysing market data (dry and wet) and assessing the impact of geopolitical events in the shipping industry
Define effective sales chartering procedures and client retention strategies.
Requirements
Minimum experience in the Chartering Department of 5 years.
Native/Proficient in English. (Spanish is very welcome).
Strong ability to negotiate and finalize agreements.
Good at building strong relationships with customers shipowners and industry stakeholders.
Able to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fastpaced changing environment and work well under pressure.
Willing to travel.
