IIQAF a leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join our team. Position Summary:

The Steel Fixer will be responsible for preparing and positioning reinforcing steel bars rods and mesh for concrete structures according to construction plans and specifications. This individual must have a keen eye for detail a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction team members.


Key Responsibilities:

Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine the size shape quantity and location of steel bars required for projects

Cut bend and tie steel bars using specialized tools and equipment

Place and secure steel bars in concrete forms or molds ensuring proper alignment and spacing

Install wire mesh steel cables and other reinforcement material as needed

Inspect and repair damaged or improperly placed steel bars

Operate construction equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move and position heavy materials

Maintain accurate records and documentation of work completed

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and injuries




Requirements


High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of construction plans and specifications

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Proficient in using hand and power tools

Strong mathematical skills and the ability to measure accurately and cut materials

Excellent physical dexterity and handeye coordination

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures

Willingness to work in a fastpaced and physically demanding environment

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. - Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. - Familiarity with operating basic hand and power tools. - Basic knowledge of construction, production, or manufacturing processes. - Excellent communication and time management skills. - Proven ability to work in a team and independently. - Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
