Position: Sheet Metal Worker (Apprentice and Journeyman)

Brighter Staffing Agency is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers both Apprentices and Journeymen to join our team in Langley BC.

As a Sheet Metal Worker you will be responsible for fabricating assembling installing and repairing sheet metal products and equipment. This includes but is not limited to ductwork roofing siding and ventilation systems. You will be working in a variety of settings including commercial industrial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints specifications and other technical drawings

Measure and mark sheet metal according to specifications

Cut shape and bend metal sheets using hand and power tools

Assemble and install sheet metal products and equipment including ductwork roofing siding and ventilation systems

Seal joints and seams using solder welding and other methods

Inspect and troubleshoot equipment for defects and malfunctions

Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures

Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors as needed

Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices as required

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience for Journeymen

Previous experience in sheet metal work preferably in the construction industry

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Proficient in using hand and power tools

Knowledge of different types of sheet metal and their uses

Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
