Certification Advisor

• Lead the global quality system and support the NEC strategic business plan
  
• Develop and ensure global quality safeguards are in place that will ensure protection of Brand Integrity
  
• Maintain a comprehensive and documented testing program that ensures NE product will conform to global product safety standards in all regions in which the product is being sold
  
• Provide strategic guidance internally and to supply chain partners to ensure that strong, efficient, and consistent quality systems are in place at all times
  
• Manager the relationship with all supply chain partners to ensure that they have a quality system that meets the overall needs of the company
  
• Manage execution of corrective action systems that can be used internally and externally (NE as well as supply chain partners)
  
• Lead 3rd party QC functions to include: ensuring strong SOP s are in place, understood, and resources are fully trained to conduct QC activities consistent with the brand standards.
  
• Leverage and build 3rd party capabilities to support newly expanded geographic markets
  
• Lead vendor charge back program for quality and expand program into other segments of the business
  
• Ensure quality databases are maintained and quality metrics updated
  
• Establish goals, monitor progress, and ensure the achievement of stated plans to meet NEC short- and long-term quality objectives
  
• Monitor global RM supply chain materials quality and oversee fabric color approval processes
  
• Develop and maintain adequate quality staff across all locations to support the strategic business plans
  
• Work closely with co-branding partners to ensures customer specific requirements are executed and communicated to appropriate parties within designated time frames
  
• Facilitate timely resolution with regard to quality issues by working closely with business units, global sourcing, NE production, designated suppliers, and vendors
  
• Create and implement automated tools that will allow close monitoring of internal quality and supplier quality
  
• Stay apprised of updates to new governmental product safety requirements that impact products
  
• Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  

• Demonstrated knowledge of quality process and best practices within a manufacturing environment preferably in apparel / textiles
  
• Designing of a successful QA system for a global supply chain that includes management and oversight of 3rd Party Logistics providers
  
• Process improvement through method improvement and leveraging technology
  
• Solid knowledge of product testing and global product RSL and safety requirements
  
• Experience in identification and implementation of quality system enhancements
  
• Demonstrated ability to employ analytical and critical thinking
  
• Strong MS Office skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data resulting in reports and presentations that communicate information required to make relevant business decisions
  
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  
• Positive attitude, high level of energy, clear sense of urgency and direction

• Minimum 10 years of Quality experience with a global retailer/distributor
  
• Experience with textiles, consumer goods strongly desired
  
• Bachelor s Degree in Science, Engineering or related field required, Master s degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered
  
• Past success in a senior level management position with proven ability to provide direction to management level employees.
  
• Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers internally and externally.
