Job Summary:
The Loan Officer is pivotal in facilitating access to financial services for individuals and small businesses within the community. As a Loan Officer you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications conducting financial assessments and assisting clients in obtaining suitable microloans. You will also be required to Cross Sell other offered products like Insurance products.
Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth
Contribute to the growth of the Company revenues
Grow a profitable loans portfolio
Sell company products & services and recruit profitable customers
Maintain quality loans portfolio
Effectively monitoring portfolio delinquency
Crosssell other company products and services (Insurance products)
Loan Application and Evaluation:
Receive and review loan applications from potential borrowers.
Conduct thorough financial assessments to determine applicants creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
Analyze and verify the accuracy of applicants financial documents.
Client Relationship Management & Business Development
Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients addressing their inquiries and concerns.
Provide clients with personalized financial advice and guidance helping them make informed borrowing decisions.
Conduct regular followups with borrowers to ensure timely repayment and offer assistance if needed.
Identify potential clients and cultivate relationships to expand the customer base.
Loan Disbursement and Documentation:
Prepare loan disbursement agreements and facilitate the disbursement process.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of loan agreements terms and conditions.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Adhere to Micro Finance regulations and lending policies to ensure compliance.
Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications and borrowers.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Generate regular reports on loan portfolio performance delinquency rates and repayment trends.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for portfolio growth and risk management.
Training and Education:
Educate clients on financial literacy and responsible borrowing practices.
Provide training sessions and workshops to enhance clients financial knowledge and skills.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments
Observe teamwork culture
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounts Economics Business Management or a related field.
At least three years of experience in microfinance banking lending or a related field is preferred.
Experience in dealing with SME & Personal Loans
Strong understanding of financial analysis credit assessment and risk management principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members.
Knowledge of relevant Micro Finance regulations and compliance standards.
Problemsolving skills and the ability to make sound lending decisions.
High level of integrity ethical behavior and commitment to customer satisfaction.
