Job Description

  • Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating dressing bathing and grooming
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families
  • Keep accurate and uptodate records of clients care plans and progress
  • Communicate effectively with clients their families and other members of the care team
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients
  • Attend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed
  • Provide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field



Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problemsolving and decisionmaking skillsExperience with CRM software and NDIS portalsUnderstanding of health and safety regulationsAbility to work with a diverse client base understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities cultural backgrounds and language requirementsBasic care and first aid skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
